(San Francisco) A Google insider who anonymously leaked internal documents to Project Veritas made the decision to go public in an on-the-record video interview. The insider, Zachary Vorhies, decided to go public after receiving a letter from Google, and after he says Google allegedly called the police to perform a “wellness check” on him…

Partial video of the incident was provided to Project Veritas. San Francisco police confirmed to Project Veritas that they did receive a “mental health call,” and responded to Vorhies’ address that day.

Having left Google, Zach Vorhies now feels a “burden lifted off of my soul”:

And there’s people right now that are listening to this, that work inside Google and, and understand what I’m saying and agree with me and they, they’re, they feel tremendous guilt. I want to talk to them and say, look, it’s okay. . . . And I’ve been living with this like burden for three years, since 2016 when they started changing everything and you know, and, and to have that burden lifted off of my soul is I’ve never felt happier or more at peace with myself than I have like right now.

The former senior software manager’s story concurs with that of Gregory Coppola in noting a marked change from what appears to be an earlier, more laid-back Google culture in 2016.

Vorhies, who had been employed by Google for eight years, appeared well enough to do a video interview with Project Veritas and to send a cache of documents on a laptop to the Department of Justice. The documents (950 pages, a large file) are also publicly available here, as of this writing. Here is the video from which the partial transcript is prepared at BitChute and YouTube. Note: Project Veritas has expressed concern that Google-owned YouTube is only a temporary home for it.

(At about [.30], we see Vorhies forced to do a perp walk outside his home. This seems to be the “wellness check” referenced earlier.)

Zachary Vorhies: The police didn’t announce themselves. I decided that I’m just not going to talk to them.

Project Veritas: So… why are the police outside your home in San Francisco?

Zachary Vorhies: So, what I did was, I put out a Dead Man’s Switch [a backup plan in case of disappearance, or death.].

People act like you’re brave and it’s like, when I am coming and explaining what Google is doing, this is an act of atonement, okay, to make my conscience clear. They are not an objective place. They are not an objective source of information. They are a highly biased political machine that is bent on not ever letting somebody like Donald Trump come to power again..

Project Veritas: (voiceover) The Google whistleblower has come out of the shadows, this time releasing a large cache of confidential internal Google documents that expose Google’s political bias and a scary progressive social agenda.

Zachary Vorhies: And the reason why I printed these documents was because I saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company. I felt that our entire election system was going to be compromised forever by this company that told the American public that it was not going to do any evil and I saw that they were making really quick moves, not only in the documents but also in the internal speeches that the executives were giving to the company that they were intending to do that, that they were intending to scope the information landscape so that they could create their own version of what was objectively true.

Project Veritas: (voiceover) It was June 24 Project Veritas released an investigation that included an interview in the shadows with Google insider Zach Vorhies. Within days, it seems, Google was on to him.

Project Veritas: What happened since you and I last spoke?

Zachary Vorhies: … I went back to San Francisco and I laid low. And out of the blue, I got a letter from Google indicating that they knew what I had done. And that letter contained demands.

(The letter made six demands, including that Vorhies list the people he had given the documents to and “requesting access to all my personal data, my laptop, my backup hard drives, in order for them to come in and start scrubbing all of it.” He complied with the demands of the letter, which can be viewed on the screen, but told Google that he had sent the files to the anti-trust division of the Department of Justice.)

Vorhies was subsequently outed by One Snowflake on Twitter, possibly an insider from Google because the information he posted was not public. He consulted two attorneys as to what Google’s next step might be.)

Zachary Vorhies: They both said, “This is the next step in having your life ruined.” They’re going to come after you. So I realized this is coming to me. So what I wanted to let them know is … yeah, I’ve got your data. So what I did is, I put out a Dead Man’s Switch so that, in case they were going to try to destroy my life through the legal system or that they were trying to, you know, just off me because I am exposing a really big thing, how they are tampering with elections. I wanted to let them know that, hey, look, if something were to happen with me, then these documents are going to be released immediately.

[6:15] The next day the police began looking for me. And so Google decided to do a “wellness check.” From what I understand from other attorneys, what they’re trying to establish is that I’ve got some sort of mental problem in order to make their case easier and this is a large way that they intimidate their employees that go rogue.

Project Veritas: Are you worried about your safety?

Zachary Vorhies: I was, because the documents hadn’t been released yet. The value of taking me off the chessboard was really high and the expense in which I wasn’t well know was low… Decided that the best way to reduce the return on investment was to come public, release all of the documents and get the target off of my back.

Project Veritas: (pointing to a document that appears on a screen) Now, this is a confidential document, right? This is not a document where Google has come out and admitted that this is their process.

Zachary Vorhies: That’s correct.

Project Veritas: And in this document, it says, I am going to read from it…

Zachary Vorhies: In fact, if you brought this up about the document, they would say this was a conspiracy theory.

Project Veritas: Wow.

Project Veritas: (voiceover) The internal Google documents from the story given to us by Mr. Vorhies reverberated through the halls of Congress: [a Congresswoman quotes:] “For example, imagine that a Google image query for CEOs shows predominately men. Even if it were a factually accurate representation of the world, it would be algorithmic unfairness.”

From the document, as it appears on the screen [8:24]:

In some cases it may be appropriate to take no action if the system accurately reflects current reality while in other cases it may be desirable to consider how we might help society reach a more equitable state via product intervention.

Zachary Vorhies: So what they want to do is act as gatekeepers between the user and the content they are trying to access.

He goes on to explain that this document was available, as were other such documents, to all full-time employees and that he found them by searching the system on keywords. He describes them as “a treasure trove, an archive that clearly spelled out the system, what they were intending to do in very clear language.”

Project Veritas: So you’re saying that the public’s right to know this information has a far greater value than whatever they can do to you personally as a result of you sitting and going on camera and talking about it?

That’s right. If I’m just on camera, that’s just some dude’s opinion. And who knows what that person’s thinking? When they see the documents themselves, they’re going to be shocked, they’re going to be terrified, they’re going to be, “How can Google so blatantly lie to the American public and lie to Congress when there is a pile of evidence showing that what they’re saying is untrue.” [to 10:08 More at BitChute and YouTube.]

The documents Vorhies unearthed include information about a “black list” of that restricts conservative and progressive websites from Android news feeds. They will likely be much combed in the next few weeks.
